Try Curling

The rink offers subsidised session for anyone who lives within a reasonable travelling distance of the rink and is interested in starting curling or trying it out to see if they like it. These are group sessions that individuals can book into. There is no commitment to continue, but we hope that you will enjoy it and want to continue, and we offer lots of ways to help you.

If you are a company wanting to run a corporate event, or a group of friends wanting to experience curling, then we offer bespoke packages built to suit you. Head over to Kinross Curling - Experience to find out more and request a quote.

Local clubs are welcome to ask us to organise a Try Curling session to help recruit new members. They can access the subsidised rate by booking their session through our Curling Development Officer.  Club members invite their friends along, and the club can run the session itself or ask for coaching help. This is a great way for a club to recruit new members. If you are interested in this email us on curlingdev@kinrosscurling.co.uk and we can get a session setup for you.

No previous experience is necessary, and there is no further commitment, although there are opportunities to continue if you have enjoyed the taster. These sessions are designed to be fun, so come with a friend, come as a family, or come on your own and meet new people.

The minimum age for Try Curling sessions is 11 as these are open classes. We occasionally put on specific Try Curling sessions for children, but we still recommend that they are over 11 as the stones are heavy and younger children do not have the strength needed.

Scheduled sessions are listed here, and further sessions will be added as required. If there is nothing that suits you, email us on curlingdev@kinrosscurling.co.uk to see if we can help.

You will need to wear clothes that do not restrict you movement, and have layers so you can keep warm on the ice. You also need some clean-soled trainers (wash them off if they have been worn outside) to change into at the ice rink. Everything else you need will be provided.
