The Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel takes place in late September. We hope to welcome teams from many different countries, a well as welcome back previous participants. Teams may be all male, all female, or mixed. The bonspiel is open to curlers of all abilities and we hope that it will be played in the true spirit of curling, with competitive games and the founding of new friendships.
The entry fee includes at least 4 games of curling, 2 dinners and 3 lunches for 4 players. If you have more people in your group you can order extra food tickets which include all the meals.
We may restrict the number of teams coming from one country, simply because you are coming to an international bonspiel, and probably do not wish to turn up and find you are playing against multiple teams from back home.
Games start at 11am on the Friday.
Format
There is space for 20 teams. This mean that teams will play in 4 groups of 5 teams, and will play 4 games and have 1 bye during the group stage. There will be 2 points for a win and 1 for a peel. Ranking will be on points, ends, shots up then total shots. Games are 8 ends or the bell (at 1 hour 50 minutes). Games start at 11am on the Friday.
After the group games the top team in each group will go forward to the High Road, and the second team to the Low Road. Semi-finals and finals will then be played.
